Parts list for MH-- is it complete?

So let me make sure I have this right...

I want to make a 175W light fixture for my 15gallon nano tank.

175W 10K MH bulb -- ~$50
Socket for bulb -- ~$10
Reflector -- ~$10
Matching ANSI ballast -- ~$60
Assorted wires, scrap lumber etc... ~$whatever

Am I missing anything?

Does the retro fit kit include all of the above, sans ballast?

Bah...run 'em naked. :D

Seriously though, tool boxes work well for this.

Good point Atomahawk.

A switch perhaps? Unless you don't mind manually plugging ang unplugging the cord.

And oh yeah... Cooling fans and a splash shield

After you put all the parts together you'll find out that buying a decent used 175w mh cost less than DIY. Infact, I was able to buy a 2yr old 175w bluewave ballast in its blue case for only $45.
