I have had success with a red sea regal in an SPS dominant tank,
at one time I had an Asfr in my 450 with it.
have since down graded to a 120 (4X2X2)
I was planing on another red sea angel but haven't found one yet
was wondering if anyone has ried a Passer in a SPS reef?
LFS had a nice one 2-3 price wa very reasonable

According to LiveAqaria they can get to over a foot long, and require at least 250 gallons.

I would pass with only a 120, and plus even if you do get it I think a 1' fish would look out of place in a 4' tank

I agree since I posted I have doing some research didnt think they got that big!
Thanks

And they are really tough. Being first cousins to a Clarion, they can hold their own and then some with most fish. Also, better looking as a juvenile than as an adult.

The Passer is the meanest Holacanthus I have encountered.Never been lucky enough to see a Clarion in person.Wouldn't try it in a 120.Best friend used to have one in his 365g FO, and his Passer went after his other Angels, Tangs, heck...even his Geribaldi, and nearly killed it.Needless to say, removed from tank.

I would suggest a pair of Flameback angels. They're colorful, active, reef safe, and their spawning ritual is awesome to witness. A 120 would be an ideal size for them.
