Has anyone ever successfully kept a passer angel in a reef tank?

yes I had a beautiful 7" Passer but I had to sell him. He got SO aggressive and started chasing everyone in my tank... when I saw him go after my True Personifer it was time to go.

I have many angels and don't have a problem with any of them. The Passer was one of the most aggressive fish I have ever kept.

Has anyone ever successfully kept a passer angel in a reef tank?

I second that. Passer never touched my corals. However.. it's bossing around other fish. Chased my clowns... now chasing my engineer goby. aggressive fish. Will be putting a Purple tang in.. hopefully will tame that sucker a bit.

Is tank size maybe an issue with aggression? Are they less aggressive in larger tanks?

I believe any angels are good in soft/sps tank. They usually go after small zoas and fleshy corals.

I had one in my 150 for a couple years. He didn't nip corals or clams, or even bother fish. He did however eat so voraciously that many other fish couldn't feed and were getting thin. He was sold about a year ago.

Live Aquaria has them available right now... I've been looking at buying one on and off for the better part of 6 months, they almost always have them.

Not Diver's Den, just the regular Live Aquaria part.

LA has them once in a while. But, I think Blue Zoo has them more often....in any case, you'll probably have to get on the wait list.

beautiful fish...but very aggressive...esp, larger sized specimins...

never saw that before...

The *MOST* aggressive fish in the ENTIRE Pomacanthid (Angel) family. Will mutilate Lionfish, Etc.
