Patience

Aaargh! Just sitting here looking at my tank. It's driving me crazy waiting for it to completely cycle. It needs fish and coral's now! No... must wait and be patient! It looks like it's ready but I know I have to wait. How long did your tanks take to cycle? Mines been up and running for about 4 weeks now.

Some experts say it may take a year before a tank truly cycles...those of us who are more impatient wait until the amonia and nitrate levels are zero and you have some nitrates showing up....then you can SLOWLY add livestock. Slowly is important because you have limited capacity to handle wastes with a new tank. Take your time...those of us with tanks more than a year old are still fascinated by the changes in our systems. Enjoy it and feel free to ask questions, this group will help.

I got secondhand liverock so it took me about 2 weeks

not the ideal setup, but whatever, its fine now and I got lots of **** in there

Well my 29g has been up and running a little over a year and your right, it is amazing with some of the things that go on. I am just looking at this 90g with all the rockwork and wanting to put some color in it so bad. I do know that slow is the way to go though. Just needed to vent as I want to see some activity in there real soon

OK, I just went and resized at photobucket. sized it at message board size. when I tried to upload to gallery on RC, it said "exceeds 50kb limit" try again. Anybody know what I need to do?

it should be underneath the picture and will be labeled img code...copy that link into the thread.

Don't feel bad, my tank has been up since July, and it appently is still cycleing. At least that is what we are figuring. So I know about going crazy.
As far as photobucket. it is very very simple, if I can do it, anyone can.

One more try!
