Peaceful Wrasse Tank?

Anyone have a tank of peaceful wrasse(s?) Quite a few of the species listed on LiveAquaria are listed as peaceful - I guess they eat shrimp, but not corals? Gonna try my hand at softies and LPS. I like the Christmas Wrasse, and all the rest in halochoeres genus. LiveAquaria says they can live together - anyone have more experience in that field?

FWIW - I have a 75g DT, 20g sump (with skimmer and fuge). Planning on 75-80 lb live rock (which is not purchased yet, and will be dry) and a 3 inch sand bed (unless I need more for these wrasse). 1 450 and 1 1150 gph koralia powerheads. No heater cause its silly hot in arizona (I just moved here). There is nothing in the tank right now (except possibly my cat - he's been investigating. And yes, its dry.) I also have egg crate for the top, but I could put egg crate on the bottom and do screens if the holes are too big. HOB overflow. Stark BluNova light. Partridge in a pear tree.

There's a handful of us, yes. One of them is also down in Tucson.

Mixing Halichoeres is always interesting; sometimes to works, sometimes it doesn't. You'll have better success sticking to Cirrhilabrus and Paracheilinus.

Eggcrate doesn't make for a great cover; the holes are too big and it blocks too much light. Clear mesh is much better (1/4").

Don't always believe that peaceful label when it comes to mixing wrasses. They may be peaceful when mixed with other fish but not so much with other wrasses. I agree with Hunter, go with window screen and 1/4 mesh top. I don't have a lot of experience with Halichoeres wrasses, I keep the two species mentioned above.

I had a melanarus in my 75 which did ok with a blue-sided fairy, but terrorized a Lubbock's and a Carpenter's.

Right now I have a Carpenter's, Lubbock's, and line spot flasher together. I had an exquisite, but recently lost him. I'll be adding a solarensis soon.

So I am going to hijack my own thread. I just moved here to Arizona. I keep my house at 75 via air conditioner all day - the guy at the LFS (not sure if I'm allowed to write the name) said that the water volume in my tanks (75g and 20g sump) should buffer the temperature and keep it safe for the fish. Do you guys have to run heaters or chillers? I have LED lights that will be at least 5" above the tank. I'm also a brand new reefer if it makes a difference. The two freshwater tanks I have 20g and 10g hover around 78-82 although I'll probably raise the T5HO setup over the 20 since it gets hotter. Your experiences with temp? The weather here is CRAZY btw.

You should be OK since your lighting isn't gonna run too hot. If it runs a little hot just get a little clip on fan, I honestly don't think you'll have an issue though.
