Peacock mantis at the Critter

I have been looking for a peacock and have a tank ready to go for it. How big was it? Is it really a peacock or just stated as one? I don't doubt you, just often they are incorrectly identified. I would be willing to drive in from Oak Ridge to get it if necessary.

It was very small, I didn't get a good look at it so I don't know what it really was. Wasn't nearly as big as the peacock mantis I have seen before.

Ok thanks. Maybe I will give them a call and see. I was just in Nashville earlier this week to harvest prawn but as I said would be willing to make the trip for one.

Mike I can bring one to you if you could meet me off the interstate in Oct, Nov, or Dec. I am comming through all three months if they get a true peacock in between now and then. I ussually drive in before 5 to beat traffic in Knoxville. I can see if they will special order one and call me when it comes avaliable if you like.

It must have sold within an hour or so of me posting that. It was maybe 1 1/2" in length. It appeared to have the coloring of a peacock.

It was the first one I've seen at the Critter. It came in on some new Carribean rock they just got. You ought to call them and tell them to look for you one.

i saw it when i was there. pretty interesting but it was hard to see. i did manage to come home with a gold dogface though:)

It came in on some rock that we had. I sold it and had it paid for over the phone today to a guy that lives somewhere out of town. We probably won't be getting any more since this one was an accident. However, we may be able to get on in on special order.

Angela,
Thanks for the offer. I really appreciate that and will take you up on your offer.
Danielle,
Could you please check on the odds of getting another and the cost?
I have a 29 set up and ready for one so anytime one comes in or a G. smithii I would take it.
Thanks again everyone.

And just to think most people try to get them out of there tanks
If one comes in I can grab it for you. I will be comming that way a ton for the holidays starting with halloween, the candy holiday. I love to go through the kids baggs and pick out all the good stuff for me. Reminds me of my parents!

Darn... I've not been around for a few days. I sure would have loved to have a peacock. I'd rather have a g. smithii though. :)
