Peacock question

Would it be possible for a peacock mantis and a huge hermit crab.......carries a 7"shell .......to live together in a 40 gallon tank without one doing the other in?

Probably not. I've seen O. scyllarus take apart queen conch shells. They just keep chipping on the lip until they peel it back. It might take a while, but the hermit would be in for a rough ordeal.
