Ok, I know everyone asks where to get a Peacock, but my 30 gal has been re-aquascaped and cleaned up since Mitch's passing. It is now ready to host another Mantis and I would really like a Peacock. So Im just asking, if anyone in the California Bay area sees one at a local shop, please let me know. Bearkley, Fremont, Hayward, Oakland...wherever, ill drive an hour to pick one up. Thanks for any help guys, its greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Unfortunately making waves is in Van Nuys which is in Southern California. It'll be probably 85 total to have it shipped.. I was originally charged that much because I put one on hold so I was sure I'd have one, but I didn't have to pay shipping and had a friend pick it up for me. He/She's AWESOME. Just got em in the tank today

I'm originally from Fremont and have friends that work at fish stores. I had them scouring the bay for me for a peacock and they couldn't find one but good luck on your search. I'll let you know if they find another

ok, got another question. Im planning on making a pvc cave system for the mantis, what size (diameter) pipe should I get to accomidate a full grown peacock?

full grown peacock i would get 2- 4" PVC 90's and cover it with LR rubble to make it look like a cave, to make it look natural you can take the ends of the PVC and cover them with a thick coat of PVC glue and roll it in some of the extra sand you have in your tank and do it over and over again untill you get the desired thickness, and let it cure for a week to be safe and then build the rocks over it to make it look natural

Excellent! Im gunna pick up some pvc today, i want to make a cave system, hopefully it will turn out like i imagine it, well see.

If i make something elaborate, will i need to rout a powerhead to move water inside the pipes?
