peacocks and tank size

what would be a good tank size for a peacock, my lps can get them in pretty often and i always wanted 1 but i know they get pretty big so before 1 buy 1 and put him in a 10gal i wanted some feed back, my other concern is the possability of him smashing his way to the floor and wanted some advice as far as tank safety and what steps u guys took to prevent this from becoming a reality

I think a 10g is ok and I wouldn't worry about it breaking the glass...

a peacock would be fine in a 10...i had mine in a 10, but if i had it to do over i would've set up probably a 20 for him since he was so active. the only time you'd really hafta worry about him breaking the glass is if he was digging in a corner and constantly kept rapping on the glass, you can deter that by providing him with a pvc burrow, other than that, just dont tease him from behind the glass and you shouldn't have any problems.
