Ive had it about 3 weeks and Im really happy with it. Its my first DSLR too. Its a no-brainer to operate. Im excited about this camera. Decent price with huge features.

Thanks. My doggies are quite photogenic. I have almost as many pictures of them as my tank

Im probably not the right person to answere this. I know the D90 is extremely popular. I believe the two are quite comperable. With the 3100 being brand new, it has some new features that other nikons dont have.

Most of the photos were shot with a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm VR lense. I also got the 55-300mm lense. The dog shot was with the long lense.
