Peladow Calcium additive

Does anyone use this stuff anymore for dosing? I used to and had tremendous success. For awhile I found it hard to find but I happened to be at Russo Power Equipment in Naperville and discovered that they sell 50#'s in a 5 gallon bucket for like $18 bucks. What a steal. You can use this for your fish tank as well as your driveway.

It sure was. I only wish my current tank these days looked like what it was before. A couple moves, different system setups and lack of interest is why it's not where it used to be.

I know they changed the formula.Old stuff was fine, new stuff said to have issues.I don't know what they changed, just remember posts about it.

yes I remember the discussion few years ago. something about up to 30% none calcium impurities. Its a great deal if it works though. Keep us posted.

Magflake tends to be harder to find locally, IIRC. I got a massive bag of the Dead Sea magnesium or whatever that was years ago. Almost never use it. But not enough left for your size system. Hint: you have a GEO calcium reactor. Add a layer of dolomite rock on the top of your reactor media. You will never need to add Mg again.

So far limewater has kept my Alk steady, when I turn on the reactor I get in trouble. I've left it off the last few months.I'm sure I'll need it in the future, I do go through a little Mag now though.
