It could work, but would take a little effort. One side gets hot, while the other side gets cold.... the IceProbe works the same way.

Its a neat idea to use the just the TE it device, but how would you get it to cool water without having a probe like the ice probe? A heat sink with fan would probably be in order too just to direct heat away. I dont know the power requirements for that particular device, but the ones i have used in the past in lab settings utilized pricey controllers or at least something a little more complicated than a transformer.

All that said.. it would be a neat project and could work well.
