pentair aquatics quiet one pumps?

Does anyone have any experience with these pumps? I was just wondering as far as reliability, heat issues, and whether or not their GPH rating is accurate.

You'll find mixed reviews on those pumps. Mostly positive though. Do a search back about a month. My Quiet One 3000 has been running great for about 1 1/2 years.

I have decidely mixed feelings about these pumps. I have a 4000 and 3 3000's. They do put out the water but they are not all QUIET. also the atttachment for the input is flimsy and sometimes they don't come on without "encouragement". That being said the intake hasn't leaked yet and they seem to be starting better after 9 mo of operation. For the price and power consumption I *might* buy them again...

You have starting problems too ? I have a new 4000. Two weeks old. When I shut it down to do water changes it wont start back up on its own. I have to plug and unplug it several times to get it to start again. I hope this gets better in time like you said.

That aside, mine is very quiet and produces little heat. I also like the low wattage consumption. And great flow.
