Peppermint pair?

I have a 75g bowfront seahorse/pipefish tank. I was getting little aptasia, so I bought 1 peppermint shrimp. I've heard they are hit and miss about eating aptasia, so when he didn't eat them, I went and bought 2 more - nothing special, just 2 more out of a tank full of them.

These 2 seem to be very bonded. The first, single shrimp stays pretty much on one side of the tank, while these other two are always within 4" of each other one the other side. What I have found fascinating is that this "pair" have molted together, on the same night, since I've had them, about 3 times now. I'm sure it's the 2 of them, as the other shrimp is much larger.

Is this unusual, a bonded pair thing, or just a survival technique to keep one from eating the other? Anyone else ever have this happen?

BTW, they all like frozen BS and mysis much better than aptasia....
