do peppermint eat gsp? they walked all over it, and seemed to inspect it pretty regularly, and the gsp pulled in.

did the peppermint eat any, or did the gsp pull in before that would happen?

the peppermint also arent interested in aipatasia...can it be too big for them to eat?

thanks,

tim

I've never had a problem with them in my tank, but I do know that they eat aipatasia from personal experance. From what I'm told they won't eat the larger ones, but I'm not sure. I know that a thick kalk paste on the larger ones and the pepermint for the small ones rid me of the aipatasia's.

I had some aiptasia in my nano, and one peppermint got rid of it within a few days.

Last night I was sitting at the computer at around 12:30am and noticed the shrimp swim out into the middle of the tank (nano is right next to my monitor) and do some weird movements...next thing I know the tank is swarming with baby shrimp. It was so neat. :)

Like others said, peppermint shrimp does not eat corals. If it is walking and picking something on your GSP, he must be eating what landed on your GSP. My peppermints always hind under rocks and only come out when the tank is fed in the morning in the dark. They are scaredy cats.

My peppermint Shrimp took care of the aiptasia in my Nano and also 2 large Rock Anemones that I had for over 1 1/2 yrs. Then the peppermint shrimp just vanished .....

I've had a peppermint tear open a lobophyllia to get to the food the coral just ate, but the shrimp didn't eat the coral itself.

well...he tried to clean my nem today...that didnt go so well for either of them. after about 20 minutes, they both retreated to their corners...
