Peppermint shrimp in the sump?

i moved my hob cpr fuge to my sump last week and noticed the aiptasia anemones from the fuge were starting to infest the sump where it is much more difficult for me to spot/reach. so i was thinking of throwing a couple peppermint shrimp in the sump to take care of the problem. would this be a good idea? would i still need to feed them once the aiptasia run out or will the steady flow of ditritus satisfy them?

also... i noticed that whenever i add macroalgae to my tank(caulerpa), they start to fade in color and eventually die off. could this be due to my algae turf scrubber? is it working too good? my nitrates and phosphates have been near zero since i put in the algae turf scrubber and since then i cant seem to successfully keep macroalgae.

The peppermint shrimp should be no problem in the sump, they will do fine.

Congratulations you have a effective ATS!
I keep a ball of cheato alongside my ATS, the growth definitely slows with a good working ATS. It seems to plump up a little after I clean the screens.

Try dosing a little iron and see if that helps the macro if you absolutely want to keep some.

il try cutting off the ATS for a while to see what happens. will a super effective ATS effect my coral's and the anemone's ability to grow their algae? i cant seem to keep anemones as well... but that may be because they are all bleached when i buy them at the LFS
