Peppermint Shrimp

I'm considering Peppermint Shrimp to help with an Aiptasia issue. I know they are prone to eating/picking coral too but I was wondering if it's a simultaneous issue or do they start on the coral after the Aiptasia are gone. I mean if they go after the Aiptasia at all. Anyone with experience please chime in.

I put three in my tank after the aptasia got out of hand. Those little buggers went to town and I have not seen an aptasia since. I keep them fed and they leave my corals alone. It can be hit or miss though.

Same here. Got some in my NPS tank. They did a good job.

Over the years, I've found some Peppermints will not eat Aiptasia. But, I've had excellent success with those I've ordered from Premium Aquatics and Reeftopia. None of those have ever picked at corals.

My pep didn't do much until they were about an 1-1/2", at this point they eradicated aptasia and I have never seen one again in years.
He's now about 3 years, almost 3 inches, never caused any problem to corals, but might try a nem.....

mine was fine if I fed him enough
