peppermint shrimp

I have been having aiptasia popping up all over my tank in the last two weeks. I went to the LFS today and grabbed two peppermint shrimp to take care of them. I swear that already several of the dozen aiptasia I had are gone, didn't really expect them to be going this fast. Now the question is, what do I do with the shrimp once all of my aiptasia are gone? I just have a 14g biocube. Should I just return them or keep one / both of them?

You can keep them as long as you're not keeping anything they're not compatible with. They'll pretty much eat anything.

i purchased mine after i saw my first aiptasia, it was gone by the next morning. I kept my shrimp and he is doing great. I agree, they will eat anything.

the only fish I have is a small gsm. Had her for a little over a year. no other shrimp or aggressive grabs. If later down the road I wanted to add sexy shrimp, would this not work with already having two peppermints?

I think your right. I think it may depend on the size of the tank. If small shrimp are housed with a large coral banded shrimp in a tank smaller than around 35 gallons, they'd be in danger since they'd still be adjusting to the tank and are potentially vulnerable to them.
