peppermint shrimp

do they shed there skin like a snake or did one die? and also i have a barebottom tank do i need to feed these guys i have about 75 lbs of rock

I had a peppermint shrimp that shed its skin. I thought it was dead until it popped out from under a rock one day.

yes the molt like most(if not all) shrimp

Mine shed every few weeks it's a good thing. Mine hide even more for the next day then they are back to normal. A couple of times a week I drop shrimp pellets after the lights are out to make sure all the scavengers/clean up crew gets something to eat.
