peps and eggs, compatible?

Will peppermint shrimp bother clownfish eggs? I have a pair of peps and want to consolidate them to the breeder tank, but I don't want to risk the nests my fish are laying.

I used to have the clownfish in with a pair of skunk cleaner shrimp. They both turned up dead shortly after the fish began spawning. I suspect mom and pop did them in after they threatened the nest. Not sure the peps have the same personality though. I almost never see them in the tank they are in.

Also thought the shrimp would help clean up the food my clown pair misses on a regular basis....

They'd probably turn up dead like yer skunks did. Could be wrong though, be nice if I was 'cause that would be a great way to keep some of the detrius in check

I vote against it, the adult clowns will defend the nest vigorusly during daylight hours and may kill the shrimp. If they don't the shrimp will have a ball at night. Now all this does depend on the tank size and number of shrimp. I had no problems in the 125 reef with 6-8 shrimp but if you are talking about a 50 or less then I think it's a bad idea. Either dead shrimp or lost eggs, no good will come of it. Unless of course you fed those shrimp to saturation but then you have water quality issues

I already have water quality issues....gave the shrimp away to a friend today, so I no longer have a problem.

Thanks guys!
