I have a fairly new tank my only fish at the moment are a Perc clown who has been in there just over a month and a Lawnmower Blenny. The Perc spends 95% of his time at the top inch of water. Being that the tank has a black trim which is probably 2 inches it looks like I have no fish in my tank. Seems happy up there swimming around. He only comes down to beg for food.
I read that this is fairly common for Percs. Ocellaris are known for being more mid tank. However when I go to the LFS the Percs are all hanging out mid tank. Do you think he is hanging out up top because their are no other fish swimming around? Trying to decide if I buy another active swimmer to see if the comes down or trade him in since he is pointless to have in the tank at this point.
