percula and a tomato

I know mixing clowns is most of the time a miss but sometimes they end up being a hit. I was wondering what you think would happen if I put a 1'' tomato clownfish ( had for 2 years now ) and a 1'' true percula clown ( had for 6 months ) in a 75 gallon tank. Would there be a chance for them to be friends? I love both clowns but would like to get rid of all by one of my tanks but can't get rid of one of the clowns. Right now the tomato is in a 10 gallon and the percula is in a 36 gallon tank.

there is always the potential that they may pair up, but it is a long shot. in the confines of the 75 the tomato will most likely quickly outgrow the perc and try to eliminate him. I would make the choice of which one you would rather have.

How do you think they would react in a 20 gallon tank? I've had the tomato for over 2 years now and she has grown less then a 1/4''

It is possible, but you have to be careful to keep an eye on them. I know Tomatoes and Ocellaris have crosse but I don't know of any perc Tomatoe crosses. However I am quite confident that they will co-exist fine, just don't know about pairing. Good luck.

I guess I can try it and see. If not the tomato can go back to his 10 gallon and I'll get another true percula since the other one died.
