Percula and BTA

i have had success in the past getting Percs into heraticus magnifica for tanks i look after at work, i dont think my 55 is suitable for such a nem so i am looking to get a bta as i also know they are generally easier to look after.

Anyone got any experiances with bta and perculas?

I introduced a BTA in my tank with a false perc. I don't think it has ever seen an anemone before as it was tank bred. Its been three weeks, both are doing well, but they don't hang out together. We shall see.

Percs and False Percs normally do not adopt BTA. On occasion they might, but normally they dont. I have tried but now I have a nice independent BTA and clowns living on the other side of the tank. I would go with H magnifica or (if you are brave) S. gigantica/carpet anemone. 55 gallons should be big enough, but make sure you have proper lighting. Atleast 250 watt MH and pref. two of 250 or 400.

My percs host in my RBTA (you can see pics on my web site: http://www.danj.com/reef )

It may take a while, and they may never host in the BTA.

Mine are tank raised and hosted in a tunze stream for the first month or 2.

my brother has 4 RBTA (no he won't share) anyways he has a percula clown (nemo) and if you put your hand anywhere near any of them he will attack you and he bites very hard. I know as I was fragging some of his stuff last time I was there.

These pecs are tank raised and i have had them in a magnifica before but it got way too big for the 55 and i had to get rid of it. I now have a small bta lovely animal independantly! but would much love to see the clowns in there oh well i will wait and see!

For lights i have 4 x 55 T5 PC and 2 x 24 Watt PC actinic

Enough for a Green carpet? obviously i will remove the bta to my 20G shrimp goby tank if i invest

I have a large GBTA and my 2 false percs were in it within 2 hrs of being put into the tank! By the way, they are both tank bred.
