my clown has no fin rot or ick and is eating good
but he just lays around on bottom of tank until
i feed the fish or peck on tank side, I did treat tank
with melafix my other fish cleared up from cloudy
eye and white spot , tang coral beauty ,hippo,wrasse
i did a 20 percent water change but the perk still isnt active yet
im on my 4 th day of melafix treatment should i stop the melafix
any help on this would be apprecited 20 years of reef but first time
this has happened to me

Are any of the fish bullying him? Are there areas he can establish some territory?

its a 300 gallon reef with tons of live rock thanks
i dont see any other fish messing with but they could
be at night time i hope he comes around

Are there any outward signs of illness...or is it just the behavior? It may be intimidated by something. Or it could have a neurological disorder/

If it is laying sideways and not moving it could be a swim bladder problem. Removal to QT is the best bet, it will be easier to treat and examine in a small tank.

Is the Perc a new edition to the tank? No red marks?

no he was swimming very active and I had a anthia die
i got him out of tank very fast meanwhile my hippo,got
cloudy eye and I have been treating tank with melafix
he cleared up coral beauty,yellow tang and cleaner wrass
all look good I have a 300 gallon reef system have had perk
about a year ,also did a 20 percent water change a week ago
im a little confused about perk, eating great no marks eyes are clear
just not active now thanks for help

So it's out of the tank now? Did you match the QT water to the DT water? Rapid changes in salinity and water temp can have a negative effect that lasts for a few days...
