i have been up here surfing tonight and finally cant take it anymore!
it bugs me to see so many posts wandering what varients are what. and if you stared get a twinge of anger after reading the title of this post i know you feel the same. so here everyone enjoy!

Amphiprion ocellaris : Ocellaris ( or if you have to say it, False Percula, even though i hate this because you can just say ocellaris in order to eliminate confusion)

Darwin black and white( and yes it IS a naturally occuring species, not aquacultured in Darwin, that is the only place they are found in wild)

I felt the same way when I first found out there were different kinds. I was like whoa! Clowns on roids! :lol:

yea i know, but this should be a sticky so that it is one of the first things they can see if they come to this forum about to ask.
 
Nice thread, i feel like a broken record. ALSO THERE IS NO BLACK PERCULA that is just not a fish...

on B&W ocellaris, what do you mean they are not aquacultured?

most that are imported into the US are aquacultured in AUS.

Also, dormreefer - IMO I don't think that your true perc example is a great choice. That fish really doesn't have good conformation.

Yea that fish is amazing... i love that black tailfin.
 
i didnt mean it in the sense that they are NOT aquacultured, i meant that they are a naturally occurring variant. i guess i should have worded that a little better. it was late, thats my excuse and im stickin to it.
