Ocellaris or True Percula

So I've had this clown since October of last year, it was sold to me as an Ocellaris but from its appearance and research I've done it looks like a True Percula, what are your thoughts. Pics below.

Looks like a wild Solomon percula or a truly A+++ grade tank raised one.

(definitely not the garbage ORA tries to push as A grade these days)

Where did you get it from?

Thanks everyone, sucks though because when I bought it there were 2 but his tankmate didn't look so good, kind of swimming slowly and seemed out of it. Every since then I have yet to see anymore clowns arrive like mine. I guess I just got lucky because I know my LFS buys their livestock from Quality Marine, they even put the QR code labels up for us to scan to get the fish's origin. I will keep looking for another in hopes of pairing then up.

He's definitely a frisky fish, nips at my hand if I get too close to his anemone and keeps digging into the anemone to get comfortable but won't feed the anemone himself, go figure.

Maverick I would ask your LFS to find you a wild Solomon percula, this would be your best bet for a really nice match for yours. Of course it should be a very small one to make sure you end up with a true pair.

Based on size and coloration it is a juvenile true percula clown. It should not be that hard to find him a mate. you can stick with another regular true percula or pair him up with a designer variation thereof like Picasso or platinum. Onyx clown will work too. They are all from A. Percula family. Good luck.
