I added a new bigger Percula day before
yesterday, now (the smaller one I had already) won't close its mouth ?
Breathing funny , but not at surface..

Is it flirting? Aggression?

Something stuck in throat?

sick....?

Idea's ......experience?
they were together about 18 hrs no fighting got along great....

just this open mouth deal on the smaller 1st fish

first clown was kept for two months with 2 percs much smaller than he/she.

he/she submitted to one half his size ( other one was even smaller)..)

he/she is very docile.......

this new one is about double his size.

no symptoms of distress /aggression

no torn fins.. no spots excepting mouth open ?
All are Tank raised .

have had it already for several months with no problems.
He swims exactly like the others.

took it out very very briefly with a net last night to examine mouth with a strong light to see if something was stuck ??

it can and did close mouth in the net.
so not a physical issue..

this mouth open deal started , as I said, when introduced new bigger fish to it's tank for his new "wife"

UPDATE this morning (THIRD DAY)

noticed spots and still not closing mouth
here is video of him this morning

I put him in QT

help my fishy please

Never introduce a bigger clown to your current clown UNLESS you know for sure your current fish is a male. It's always best to get a much smaller fish than your current fish to make sure you get a male.

That fish is distressed very badly I would get it out of there and into it's own tank
