Perfecto vs. All-Glass

I am considering an upgrade to a 210g AGA reef ready or 220g Perfecto Reef Ready tank, and am not sure of any difference between Perfecto and All-Glass. Overflow location on the Perfecto is in the corners vs the megaflo on the back glass of the AGA. Otherwise are there any real differences between the brands?

i personally like the perfecto corner flows. its easier to spread the flow around from the corner. and it hides better.

I have a 210 AGA. I think Perfecto ups their volume. Essentially its the same dimensions. I dont mind the megaflows on the back wall. Maybe on an 18" tank they would get in the way. I had a 90gal with a corner overflow. That made sense, it didnt protrude into the tank as much.

I like the Perfecto stands better. The tank sits inside it about a quarter inch. But for the tanks I think they are pretty much the same.

Perfecto is 31 inches tall vs. the AGA is 30" tall, I think that is the only size difference. The black silicone is a difference also. Does Perfecto use the same black plastic top bracing that AGA uses?

Perfecto trim is slightly different, it is wider top to bottom plus the top is different as well so you could only use thier glass tops. IMO perfecto all the way. I am always at our LFS and the quality seems better on perfecto and I have seen several AGA lately where the glass does not meet correctly on the ends.

Funny that you should mention that. The edges where the glass meet isnt perfectly flush. My magnet sometimes gets hung up there when cleaning. I thought it was the tank settling or something.

I like perfecto better. Black silicon, 20 yr warrenty, and someone told me they use thicker glass but I don't know.

I've always been scared of the 210 after I read a post of one that split from the bottom left to the top right. Not good

I was not aware of the 20 year warranty either....won't do much for the flood in the house, buut good to know they expect it to last!

I have been impressed with the Perfectos I've seen lately. Not only do they come with the overflow kits ($45 extra each with AGA), but they have a nice removable grill on the overflow for quick cleaning. The stands from Perfecto are pretty sweet looking to. The 220 at my LFS had a REALLY nice maple wave shaped stand.

I have a perfecto corner flow 75 gal setup 6 weeks ago love my perfecto. I own a pet shop and sell more perfecto then anyother brand..

I plan to build my own stand much stronger than a stock stand, so the tank is my main concern.

i vote for the perfecto. I have one and i thnk the corner overflows allow for easier rockscaping and i like the look better.

I just bought an AGA 90. Quality is ok, but it took nearly 4 months to get my custom tank. You CAN get corner overflows on an AGA tank.
