Pesky Polyp?

I have this pesky non-desirable that seems to have found a home in the middle of this zoa colony. I've tried "plucking" it out, but the darn thing keeps coming back and trends to irritate the zoas around it... solution? Help!

You could try cutting it as close to the base as you can, and then smother the remaining tissue with a little epoxy. GL.

Thanks. Didn't think of the glue. My trouble is going to be getting to it. The zoas are packed right and when the polyp disappears he's invisible in there. .. grrrr. If I can find him that is a great help. Thanks

Looks like aptasia"¦a rather small one too. Take it out before they start spreading in your tank. As mentioned you can pluck it out/smother it with epoxy or glue or use a toothpick to scratch it out. They tend to irritate corals which is why the zoa next to it is closed.

When you were trying to pluck the polyp out, what did the tissue feel like? Was is somewhat firm, or just real squishy? What color was it?

I agree it looks like aptasia. I've onlyever had a couple. I scraped one off a frag and threw a handful of perppermint shrimp in my tank for the other one or two. If I had them now I think I would putty or glue over it.
