Pesplendent Anthias quarantine procedure.

Planning to add a group of 8 Resplendents to my 210. I've had terrible results with quarantine in the past and have since just not done it. I have just completed a whole tank treatment of Prazi to my system and dont want to add any possible parasites from the anthias. The main purpose is parasites/flukes and not ich. My main system has always had ich and mostly likely always will. All current fish are fat and happy with no visible signs of ich but I know its there.

As a note. I have a 30 gal tank I will be using for my quarantine and have a aquaclear HOB filter. I plan to use water from my main display to fill and do W/C to the quarantine. A big concern is whether or not the 30 will be large enough for that many anthias even if they are small. They 30gal is not currently up and running so there will be cycling concerns as well. I have plenty of LR in my 210 sump I could use to get bacteria going(and sand if needed).
Any tips and suggestions to help quide me to success will be greatly appreciated.

The only parasites PP will kill are flukes and other worms.
Just curious; what "terrible' results did you have with a QT regimen? A proper QT is the best and easiest way to get any new fish acclimated to tank life; not just the parasite control.
Because you know you have ich, you must know that the fish aren't going to be safe forever. The addition of 8 anthias could easily be the new stressor that triggers the inevitable ich invasion. IMO, your concern about a 30 gal and 8 new anthias is valid. Using DT water is usually a good idea for a QT, although it does nothing to cycle the it. But, using the DT water is going to give the anthias ich; and there is no point in treating them if they are going back into the DT anyway. Sorry, I just have nothing positive to say. IMO & IME; intentionally giving ich to any new fish ( by adding them to a known ich infested DT) is just plain wrong. I know some folks "manage'' ich for varying periods----but the ich always wins.
