Pest Control Wrasse??

ostrow,
Yes, I understand Gianni. May be my english not well enough. I hope the Exquisite do the job for me, if not I have to find another wrasse.

Gianni is a very nice guy as same as all CMAS member here.

This morning, I did pick the Leopard wrasse up but returned for the Exquisite because recommended by the pet shop guy. I may make a mistake.

IME, exquisites will not do anything as far as pest control. In fact, fairy wrasses in general will not help control pests. They only feed out of the water column, so they will not be searching for worms or bugs on the rocks and sand.

I highly recommend the yellow coris (halichoeres chrysus). I kept a male/female pair of them in my reef for a couple years. They never bothered any inverts or other fish and were always searching for bristleworms around the rocks.

IFbettas,
May be may be not, I don't know yet. Your tank is big. This is for 29 bio cube. The yellow coris may get bore in the small tank then may be picking on the corals. All the online reef store said (Yellow Coris -> Reef Compatible: With Caution).
Anyway, I cannot pass the exquisite because it's so beautiful.

You should definately keep the exquisite! :) I really like them too. I'm just saying it's unlikely to do any pest control for you.

Thanks Marcus. It's easy to take him out of the Biocube later and trade for a good pest control wrasse.
My problem is everytime I saw a beautiful fish at LFS then I forgot what I am in the LFS for.

I'd get a smaller wrasse that loves pods, like a Leopard wrasse. The worms with white legs is probably a bristle worm and it's a harmless scavenger. If they get out of control it's easy to catch them.

The Leopard Wrasses can be difficult to keep alive in an aquarium.

If your tank was larger, I would say melanarus. I have had 3 and they tear through many pests, and infrequently have escargot. ๐Ÿ˜‰
