found this wrapped around my zoanthid. about a quater inch large. pulled it out of the tank. did a fw dip in ro/di and then had to pull it off by hand. it doesnt look like a nudi compared to the pictures but im not certain that its not one.

Did it have any calcareous shell at all? Or feelers/antenae. If I'm looking at the right thing it's just black flesh?

Took a webdesign course. should have circled it earlier. I do have limpets, they all have a shell with a high hat though. The circle item did not react initialy to a FW dip. Also the needle nose plyers just slipped right off him.

He seemed completely smooth. Thats whats throwing me off. Also that picture was a week old. So i found him yesterday and went back through my pictures to see a before of how the colony was to guage the results today. little stinker had been on the exact poylp the whole time. He looked bigger than the picture though because he was large enough to completely encircle the poylp. could be he just squeesed the polyp smaller though.

Hope the circle helps along with the additional information. So far no more spotted.

Perhaps a black dendrodoris sea slug (dendrodoris nigra)?? Does it have any white spots at all?

Based of the pictures no. I didnt see any antenia or eyes. it was pure dark brown and smooth. its gone, havent found any others, and the coral is slowly improving. thanks for the assistance.
