Pests in sump with no coral

Is it possible for Flat worms,redbuds,aaef to be in your sump.i thinking of starting over with my display tank with new BRS rock and new sand don't want a while new cycle but worried about pests in sump

Red Planaria, sure. They gravitate towards low flow areas.

As far as Redbugs, AAEF, I suppose it's possible, if you had them in your display and a few were swept into the overflow or something.
