Pet store in Roanoke

I stopped in a few weeks ago and the place looked pretty clean. Had some nice livestock and equipment, was well stocked, and the fish clerk (owner?) told me that they would price match BRS. He gave me the tour and showed me the sump room which was impressive. Definitely worth a visit. Of course, time will tell how serious the business will be but for right now it looks like a return visit is in order.

I stopped in today to get some coral dip. The owner was friendly and knowledgable. The prices were reasonable and it totally saved me a drive to Lynchburg.
I'll be going back.

Pet & Aquatic Warehouse
+1 I usually hit up Ultimate Aquariums then PAWS if they don't have it. Justin has definitely stepped up his game. I can't wait to see those new 120g frag tanks up and running. I even asked him for the vendor and have one on order myself ;)

I was in there today just to check it out and get some salt water for a water change. The store is really nice and clean. But be watchful if you buy salt water. I bought 15 gallons at 1.49 a gallon and when I tested it at home the salinity was 1.010! I had to add a couple cups of salt to each bucket before I could use it.

When I buy it from Justin (Ultimate Aquariums) it is ALWAYS at 1.025, and I believe his is 1.00 a gallon. So if you buy saltwater there just make sure you check it before putting it in your tank.

I went into Exotics and Aquatics last Tuesday and really liked it. It was really clean and the people where really nice. I always bought from Ultimate Aquariums before, but my shift changed and I am off Mondays and Tuesdays now and they are closed. Ultimate seems to have more selection, but I could of just hit these guys on a low stock day.

Another thing I noticed is that it seems the owner is the only one that knows anything about saltwater. When I was there he wasn't and the guy in the fish area didn't really know anything about their corals at all.
