Petco - Aqueon Warranty

I guess I have been lucky the last 50 + years not to have an aquarium leak. Can't say that anymore after Sunday morning. 40 gallon breeder had lost 30% Sunday morning so moved fish and drained tank. Then drove to the Petco where I purchased it in January 2024. There I found out Petco only covers Aqueon for 3 month even though Aqueon claims 5 years. So I will call to see if I can get my $65 back over the phone today?

Just make sure to call Aqueon. I do not believe Aqueon is owned by Petco.

The following is from a customer rep I spoke with on the phone.
I got the reimbursement request approved and it was sent to our accounting department. They will cut a check and mail it out to you. In the next few weeks, be on the lookout for an envelope from “Central Garden and Pet”.
Surprisingly when I called I did not sit on hold for very long.
