Petco comes to Murfreesboro

For better or worse, Petco is coming to Murfreesboro.

Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up. Some of you may have already known.

Although notorious (it seems on this board at least) for bad advice, it will at least give one more place to go look at fish at... for me, anyway!

I'm more excited about Best Buy, tho... hehe.

I just hope they put an honest effort into getting knowledgeable people working there or at least proper training. Is it a gimme that all Petcos carry saltwater?

i doubt it rsteagall...they'll hire anyone.

and from what ive heard, not all petcos carry saltwater....i hear its up to the owner......i do have good feeling that this new one will have saltwater fish....since there's no saltwater fish stores in that area besides petland(and they suck)

I hate petco. Ive very rarely seen a healthy fish.

i worked for a petco in cali.....from what i saw i was the only one that knew anything about fish or strived to creat a proper environment...

stay away... far away.. I have never seen as many sick fish I think Petco may hold the record for that.

i did buy one healthy fish from them....but it was mistaken...the guy didnt have a clue what the fish was....they had scooter blennies priced at $6....i saw a lawnmower blenny (usually cost about $20)....and sold it to me for $6 as a scooter blenny.....he was super healthy and fat...bought him to clean my algae....and then traded him in for more money than i purchased him for at the critter

well I brought 10 pink damsels and green chromes from them to cycle my tank and thought at $3 what the heck since the critter was out of green chromes and I be darn but I am yet to see any die even the sick looking one that I thought was close to the grave. The manager was nice but the fish people had no clue and me and Steve gave them a hard time about how we were going to kill these fish. She didn't understand about cycling a tank.
