Petco Morgantown

I've stopped in there one time a while back (if it is the one I'm thinking of) and it was a scaled down petsmart if I remember correctly. I am in Mo-town every Wed. and have stopped in a few up there as well as clarksburgh and fairmont. Most of which I have not been impressed with. Most don't well much SW livestock or corals so I don't go back usually. Streetside Pets (I think that is the name) you have to get off the westover exit and go toward downtown mo-town it is on the right just before you cross the mon. river has a decent selection of livestock and drygoods both. that's my two cents worth.

The store in Bridgeport (right outside of Clarksburg)stocks very little saltwater. I have never seen more than 4 or 5 fish at a time. Does not do any coral. Does not want to invest in lighting to keep the animals. Caters to freshwater more than salt.

As for Morgantown, there is a store on the "mile ground". Coming from I79 going towards Hospital it is on left side of road. I have been there a couple of times. Not a big selection of livestock but does carry a decent amount of drygoods. Last time I was there they were in the process of renovating the saltwater tanks to accomodate more coral and fish. Getting proper lighting and expanding the area. It's been about 5 months since I was there.

Petco=no go... na-da.. nothing

Streetside pets nice place get corals while they are fresh off the truck :-)

Place on the mile groud exotic jungle has shut down all saltwater systems and only sells dry goods..

hope this helps a little

The great deals seem to be few and far between. I was lucky enough to get onto this one in time. :)

I bought my tank from Stateside Pets in Westover and Steve is the guys name that runs it. He knows a good bit and the thing I liked about him is he doesn't try to sell you the whole store. He was very honest and told me to stay away from somethings. I also bought my CUC there. I am going back to buy some corals soon also.

You will find that most serious local owned FSs' don't try to push stuff on you that you don't need, that's just a bad stereotype we get ladled with thanks to box store tactics. Ask a few people in the club there first impression of me when I refused to sell them coral(s) until they had the proper systems LOL, they loved thats I'm sure but that how it should be IMO, you are creating a life support system nothing less.
