PFO ballasts

I'm comparing the standard PFO dual 400w ballast to the Sunlight Supply of the same.

Does the PFO ballast need seperate wiring to go to the mogul or is that supplied?

Does the ballast have its own unique plug like the SS or is it a standard plug? Again I'm speaking of the output of the ballast to the lights.

I already have my wires to the moguls sockets........can I hardwire them to the ballast?

These are standard M-59 balllasts correct?

The PFO ballasts come with a plug that is only standard to PFO. If you have a PFO receptacle, it's plug and play. Otherwise, you'll need some equipment to include a quickdisconnect. We should have the parts that you need. These are standard M-59 ballasts. We do have the pulse start and hqi if you would prefer those as well.

Alright thanks........I already have all the quick disconnects for the SS model.

I don't want to buy them for this ballast. I guess the only difference between the two brands is that the PFO allows control of each ballast & the SS doesn't?

If I hardwire the PFO with my own wiring I assume that would void any warranty? What is the warranty..........# of years?

I don't believe that hardwiring the ballast would void the warranty. Especially if you used an adapter to make a quick disconnect.

The warranty period is 2 years.
