pfo vho system any good?

I posted this post in the pfo forum and nobody replied. So can someone from premiumaquatics answer some of my questions. I have been a frequent customer at this website so hopefully I can get some honest answers.

I was looking at the 4 vho setup retro from pa and liked it mainly b/c of the ability to have 2 actinics on and 2 other bulbs on second simulating sunrise/sunset.

My concerns will be
1.)how long would the bulbs last?
2.)how much electricity used?
3.)heat?

These are all advertised for icecap ballast, I'm just wondering if you can share some info.

1.)how long would the bulbs last?

You should expect to get anywhere from 8-10 months out of actinics, and 10-12 months out of the actinic white and aquasun lamps.

2.)how much electricity used?

The PFO 4X4 VHO retro has a max pull of 4.6 amps. Keep in mind that if you are not using all four lamps, then your power pull is going to go down as their are four small, separate electronic ballasts inside of that casing.

3.)heat?

Expect the ballast enclosure to just get slightly warm. They are electronic ballasts so they keep very cool inside of the casing compared to a tar ballast.
