pH/alk/ammonia too high?

I have yet another inquiry for the "reef experts" here. I have tested my pH and alkalinity several times. both are high. ph has been consistently 8.6 is this too high? Also, my alkalinity shows high on the test. How do I go about lowering it?

Finally, I have NH3 reading of 0.25 with 0 nitrites. I have had this tank running for at least 5 weeks. 10% water change last week no change any ideas?

Thanks.

As far as the NH3, it sounds somewhat normal for an immature tank, but then again, something may be rotting in your tank. Maybe overfeeding? New, uncured live rock?
