PH Buffer

I am i the process of my frist water change, I added salt and let mix and then added a Seachem 8.3 PH Buffer, im using ro/di water, it has been mixing for about 4 hours now and the ph is reading like 8.5 will that go down, is that a spiek due to the ph buffer raising ph???

I like to mix my water for at least 12 hrs. usualy 24. PH I have found will go up and down a couple of points. Let it mix longer then check.
