7070/2 replaced 7070 about a year ago. 7070/2 has a more modern soft touch keypad design. The circuitry has been changed to allow it to obtain readings from a weak electrode that most pH controllers would no longer be able to use. Most controllers require the electrode put out 100mV and the 7070/2 can get useful readings at 80mV. Outside of this technical change the changes are just cosmetic.
