pH fluctuations

Ever since I got my pH probe, I've noticed that my ph dips from 8.0 to 7.8 at night. I'm topping off with kalk at night, but it normal to have this large of a fluctuation in a sps tank? How can I fix this. Tank is a 50gal cube. thanks.

Running a fuge with a large cheato ball and lights on a "RDP"..... increases photosynthesis and increases oxygen in the tank...should help stabalize PH. Also .2 swing is acceptable for a acro tank, but I would not let it swing much more than that.

Get one. Set it right. No worries after that except refilling the reservoir weekly.

Heres a thread. Your PH should be above 8.0, so dont address the swing, address how low your ph is in the first place.

I have one of those pumps and it works well. I am dosing B-ionic. You can even use it with a controller. I have purchased a Ca reactor and will be selling it when I get the CR up and running.
