I have a 24 gallon AquaPod, and I test my water metrics every 3 days. On Wednesday everything was great (nitrate 0, nitrite 0, calcium 420, KH 9, PH 8.4, ammonia 0). Saturday my PH had fallen dramatically, down to 7.8. I'm not sure what caused this and was wondering if anyone had any ideas?
So I added the appropriate amount of Reef Buffer that should have brought the PH back up to 8.4 yesterday. Today my KH is reading 12, and my PH is only at 8.0. My second question is will my PH continue to rise to 8.4, or has it platoued? If it's gone as high as it will go, is there any way I can continue to raise my PH without raising the KH since I'm at the upper limit there? Thanks.
