PH low Nitrates HIGH

I have a PH that is 7.9-8.0 during the day. Have yet to test at night. My nitrate readings have been consistently rising over the months. (I do have an old test kit but all of the other chemicals are reading normally) I tested today at 60 ppm for nitrates. I bought a phosphate test today these are the rest of my parameters:

Nitrite 0 PH 8.0
Nitrate 60 Alk Normal
Ammonia >.25 Phosphate 0.1
Salinity 1.0265

My sandbed is approx. 3", running a Remora C skimmer, and a Mag 350 canister currently with carbon. I do have a large bio load but am careful not to overfeed.
IAbout the high C02 issue, I have a window unit in a 14 x 12 room that is run during the day. I have tried to go without it at night and shutting it off on cooler days.

It sounds like you need to maximize your skimming, make sure you have plenty of Live Rock, and make sure your source water is phosphate free. Aren't you working on setting up a fuge?

Depends on your test kit. I also use a kit that reads it out at either high, normal or low, instead if giving you a number. & good to see you back on the boards devon

My kit is back to low, normal, high yellow to blue.
Half of my tank is live rock. Water changes and topoffs are with LFS Ro/Di. Skimmer is pulling out a lot and seems to be sufficient for this 55g.

Thanks for the replies. My funds have run dry, so it will be a month before I can run my new setup.
