PH Meter

I am curious if anyone has any experience with the hand held oh meters by Milwaukee. They are inexpensive and portable which would certainly help with water make up but does anyone know if they are accurate?

Mine lasted about 1 year- then failed to be accurate. I called Milwaukee and they stated that was about how long they last. I switched to a pinpoint which I have had for 3 years now. Had to replace the probe recently after 2.5 years in sump constant use. It is just so much easier to have the PH meter always "on" - as I add kalk water every other day I can monitor if the PH is spiking and then I just shut off the "Lifter" pump for an hour or two , watch the PH come back down and then resume my every other day 3 gallon kalk water top off.

I would recommend the reef fanatic handheld unit. It has a replaceable electrode to avoid that problem.

I have not used it long enough to tell but for 49$ its a pretty good deal.
