PH near 9, what would happen?

I just got my Phep 5 meter today (hanna) and checked the PH. It came back as 8.80. I used a API test kit before today and got normally got 8.2/8.4 but didn't like how inacurrate the readings were (.2). I am going to buy calibration fluid on Monday (I sure hope that is the issue). If my PH was acually 8.8 what problems would I see?

You need to test in the morning around the same time.Your chemistry will change throughout the day and then level at night.

No, thats why I said I was going to buy calibration fluid on Monday. I was wondering if I would see major problems with a level of 8.8 or if it could possibly be 8.8.
