pH probe BNC connector extension

Can the BNC connection cord on the different probes be extended?
They often come with 6' length
I need about 12' can I use a video BNC extension cord, I saw some online, that were for cam surveillance network.
The connectors look the same.

Any suggestions ? Any one with experience?

Yes, no problems. I have done the same.... Just don't route near AC power cords or other electronics.

What happens if routed near ac cords?
The end of this will be connected to the vertex cerebra multibar and there will be so many cords all around it.....
