Ph probe port in kalk stirrer?

Yes, I use mine to trigger an alarm on my AC3 that it is time to add more kalk. I set the alarm to trigger at ph < 9.5 since the probe is calibrated to a lower value and there is some margin for error.

also, if im monitoring ph can i throw a whole bunch-o-kalk in there vs following the bi weekly refill guidlines and just refill when the ph drops? if so how much kalk can i add to the small model?

What is the ph of a fully stocked kalk stirrer?

12.54. If you are really interested in monitoring your Kalk reactor, I understand a conductivity probe/meter is the preferred method.

Told You About Lime" here:

General consensus on several prior Reef Central threads is in agreement with Avast's response that a pH meter will not reliably read that high if calibrated with 7.0 and 10.0 solutions.

ohhh... and at some point you have to clean the thing as well.

Mine has a rather narley, crusty crud at the top right now!:ape:
