pH probe recommendations

I went through 2 Digital Aquatics probes - lasted 3 months each. Currently trying the pinpoint, seems to be working well so far

One of my pH probes came with my AC3, the other I snagged off a used Pinpoint. No complaints after a couple years. (Knocks on wood...)

Jeff, it's that Milwaulkee one you gave me. Pretty sure the probe is dead, at least I don't think there's a way to clean it and make it work again. Should I try? Anyways, I want to get a new probe that I can use with it - I think any of them should work?

I thought Digital Aquatics used pinpoint probes?

not sure. All the probes have the same shape with different color outsides. the DA probe says DA on it, the Pinpoint says Pinpoint - they could be the same, not sure. heck there could be one company building all of them including the BRS with different names and colors :)

Very possible Pascal, or at least one company makes the business end of it and different companies put their plastic around it.

Ordered the BRS one. For $30 it's worth a try.

So, I got the probe hooked up and calibrated a couple days ago, and it seems to be working well. Calibrated with 7.0 and 10.0 buffer solutions. My Milwaukee meter has a screw in the front and a "slope" screw in the back. The instructions say to adjust the front screw to match 4.0 solution and the "slope" screw to match 7.0 solution. Since I used 7 and 10 instead, which one is which? Does it matter? My guess is that the front screw is always used to adjust the reading at 7.0 and the slope is for the extreme, either 4.0 or 10.0.

Right now, it's adjusted to read both, so it seems like I'm calibrated, but who knows...

Nevermind, I found the answer, the slope screw in the back is used to adjust to 10.0 as I thought. Works fine. :)
